Seeing the process of how this character was created reminds me to look at real people in the same light…so much more than we initially realize has gone into making what we see. When we first look at a painting or interact with someone, we are seeing such a limited amount of what’s really there, and rarely are we seeing what exactly happened to create it or them. We dont often see the time, layers, processes, experiences, and details that are truly the essence of what or who we are viewing. I always find, both with art and people, that getting even small glimpses of what created this end result, deepens understanding and appreciation. Thanks for sharing Michael! I’m curious about what YOUR personal experiences and thoughts were that led you to create this particular piece…we see the painting process but what about the thought process that brought mystr skullington to life?
